Annual Events & Community Initiatives
In Stouffville, community means showing up for one another, and that’s exactly what the Lions Club of Stouffville has been doing for generations. Each year, we host and support events that bring neighbours together while directly supporting families, youth, and seniors right here in Stouffville.

Rubber Ducky Race
A highlight of Stouffville’s beloved Strawberry Festival, our Rubber Ducky Race brings fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition to Main Street each year. Families “adopt” a duck, cheer them on, and watch as they race toward the finish line, all while raising funds that go straight back into Stouffville community programs and local initiatives.

Christmas Toy Drive
For over 30 years, our Toy Drive has helped ensure Stouffville children wake up to something special during the holidays. With the generosity of our neighbours and local businesses, we collect and distribute toys directly to families in our community, because every child in Stouffville deserves a joyful holiday season.

Walk for Dog Guides
Each year, Stouffville residents come together to support the Walk for Dog Guides. This family-friendly event raises funds to provide life-changing service dogs to Canadians in need, and it’s powered by the dedication and compassion of our Stouffville community.

Christmas Tree Sales
Selling Christmas trees is The Stouffville Lions biggest fundraiser. We have been selling trees for over 40 years at various locations in Town. How many can you remember?
Canadian Tire has graciously let us use their garden centre for the last few years and we love this location. There is tons of parking, you can grab a tree stand from Canadian Tire, and the trees and trailer fit perfectly.
Our trees are sustainably sourced from Ontario and arrive at the end of November.
Thank you to the residents who support this project. The funds raised support our youth programs, the Library, the Food Bank, residents personal requests, and so many more worthwhile causes.
